WHO WE ARE

The hosting team at CIMA/ARNET - University of Algarve is dedicated to understanding the anthropogenic impacts on extreme environments like the deep sea and Antarctica. Our main goals are to develop methodologies (e.g. multi-omics, ecotoxicological assays) that can be used to assess and monitor environmental risk in extreme environment. The gathered scientific knowledge, is then disseminated to stakeholders providing policy advice and recommendations where adequate.
